Dr Christin Kirchhübel (BA MSc PhD) is a full-time forensic consultant in speech analysis. She is the founder of Soundscape Voice Evidence, an independent consultancy. She has worked on over 550 cases in the areas of forensic speaker comparison, transcription and disputed utterance analysis as well as other miscellaneous cases. She regularly provides evidence as an expert witness in court.She obtained her PhD in Electronics (Forensic Speech Science) at the University of York which investigated the acoustic and temporal characteristics of deceptive speech. The talk will explain the work of a forensic speech scientist.
