Silicon for Audio

Silicon technology and device architectures impact audio equipment design, and therefore ultimately the end-user experience. This Conference focuses on the latest technology from the major audio IC companies. Topics covered include:

  • Impact of chips on equipment design
  • A/D & D/A converters (1-bit vs. multi-bit)
  • Interfacing & clocking
  • Analogue techniques and circuits
  • Amplifiers (linear, switching, class D, PCM-to-PWM – the end of the DAC?)
  • Programmable DSP (fixed & floating point) vs. single-function circuits
  • Firmware and simulation

Who should attend

The conference is targeted at audio equipment company designers and new product strategists, broadcast and telecoms technologists, intellectual property licensers and licensees, equipment users, semiconductor company employees and anyone interested in future trends in silicon for audio.
