AES British Section Committee

We are the British Section of the Audio Engineering Society, an international organisation dedicated to audio engineering. For more than sixty years, the Society has provided the industry with a framework and forum for the advancement of the science and art of audio.

Clare Hibberd

Clare graduated in 2004 from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, with a first Class BA (Hons) Theatre Practice- Sound Design for Theatre.

Theatre sound work includes Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Bang (London Palladium and National tour), Chichester Festival Theatre (Summer Season), Nicholas Nickleby (National and International tour), Mamma Mia (International tour), Love Never Dies (Adelphi Theatre, London), Shrek The Musical (Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London) and Matilda the Musical (Cambridge Theatre, London).

More recently, Clare completed a PGCE and taught science at a large comprehensive school in North Kent. In 2015, she moved to Oman to work at the Royal Opera House Muscat as Senior Sound Technician.

Clare is currently the Sound Lecturer on the BA Production, Technology and Management course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
