The Scottish Group are delighted to present an evening event with Jules Storer of ROLI.  Jules has been developing audio software and C++ libraries for nearly 20 years. In 2001 he created the DAW Tracktion, which is still going strong. In 2005 he launched the JUCE C++ library, which is used by thousands of audio developers as the foundation for plugins and apps. He joined ROLI in 2014, where he both continues to work on JUCE and also directs the software architecture of other ROLI products.

This talk will be a meander around some of the landmarks you might see in the world of audio development. It will look at how digital audio in general works, some detail about how plugins work, and will cover the kinds of things that are important to know if you want to get involved in the audio tech industry.
